Kaitlyn + Jake have an incredible love story, the kind everyone dreams about as a child. They met in high school, and have now been together for 11 years, because, as the saying goes… “the rest is history.”
There are so many beautiful souls and beautiful love stories I get to capture, but something about K+J felt especially special. They were recommended to me as models for an Elopement shoot I was putting on back in June, and the first time I talked to Kait, I knew she would be a huge huge influence in my life. I remember meeting the two of them for the first time so vividly, and I think their gigantic warm smiles will be burned into my brain, in all the best ways, for the rest of my life.
The way these two love other’s is unreal. The second you meet either of them, you feel like you’ve known them forever, like family. They both work in medicine, and I don’t have to be their patient to know that their bedside manor is unparalleled. The way they support, uplift, and deeply love everyone in their life, will quickly remind you that there is still good left in the world.
Since this day, Justin and I have been on many double dates with them, and they are 2 of the 110 people we invited to witness our own marriage, if that doesn’t speak to how immensely important these people are to us, I don’t know what does!
Their elopement session was nothing short of a dream. From the florals that Snowberry Floral Co. did, the gown from Dora Grace Bridal, and the beautiful location at a small lake in Fort Collins, the afternoon was picturesque and love-filled.
Kait + Jake will say their vows with all of their loved ones and a big party in 2023, most likely, but for now they have these images from their elopement session as a beautiful reminder of the love they have built so strongly over the last 11 years. I love you forever, Petersons-to-be!
