YOU. GUYS. The love Raegan + Beau share is nothing short of Godly. These two were designed for one another in every way, shape, and form imaginable, and this is the story of the day they said “I Do!”
I woke up slow on this morning, in an airbnb about two hours from their elopement spot at the Zion Overlook. I remember waking up and thinking “I am shooting an elopement in Zion today…. I AM SHOOTING AN ELOPEMENT IN ZION TODAY!!!” Not only is Zion a National Park that had been on my hiking bucket list for the better part of my teen and early-adult years, but photographing in it was a dream I thought would never be realized… yet here it was.
I had seen photos of Raegan + Beau on Instagram in the months leading up to their elopement day, but nothing could have prepared me for the way their love felt like to be around. These two truly have everyone’s best interest at heart, and it shows in the way they speak to everyone. Their love is beautiful, enduring, and strong.
Every part of this day felt intentional, peaceful, and love-filled. Everything from the location, to the florals by Denise Crabb at MKA Design, to the HMUA by Lexi Harker, and the planning by Britt Warnick Designs, this day was executed beautifully. I could not have been more blessed to shoot this elopement session with these two, just a few months before their big wedding surrounded by all of their friends and family.
To get to this spot we walked a few miles down a dusty, winding canyon path, with the occasional breathtaking overlook, and, I’ll be honest, a few very sketchy portions, to get to the final overlook. Once we reached the final spot, these two exchanged quiet vows, laughed a whole lot, and were photographed in all sorts of gorgeous red rock.
From hiking in with backpacks of snacks and their entire ceremony setup on our backs, to taking a few getting ready shots on the cliffside of the overlook, to finally watching them say “I do,” every detail of this day was a dream.
